Garbage/Recycling
bins
All tenants are required to purchase their own bins, and maintain their garbage/recycling. As a suggestion, bring all bins in as soon as possible on windy or stormy days, or you may find yourself buying new bins regularly. You can purchase these bins from any big box store, such as Canadian Tire or Walmart.
Weekly pick up date
The city has strict rules on collection, so please read and follow the below.

garbage tags
Single family homes and apartments with six units or fewer are allowed on bag (or can) per week.
Residents may purchase garbage tags for $2.50 their additional bags.

large item pickup (moving day)
You may have large items that down fit in the garbage can. In order to have these items removed for free, you can request for the city to pick them up. This is especially helpful when you are moving out and looking to get rid of old furniture.
